Roles & Responsibilities

  • Provide compassionate basic care and assist patients with activities of daily living
  • Take and record vital signs, reporting changes to the nursing team
  • Support safe patient transfers and mobility, following care plans
  • Maintain a clean, comfortable environment and adhere to infection control standards
  • Communicate clearly and kindly with patients and families to support dignity and comfort
  • Document care accurately and collaborate with nurses to ensure continuity

Qualifications

  • Valid CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) certification (required)
  • Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
  • Ability to pass background check and meet facility health requirements
  • Reliable, punctual, and comfortable working independently on per-diem assignments
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a patient-centered attitude

Education

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • Completed state-approved CNA training program and current certification

Knowledge & Skills

  • Hands-on patient care and ADL assistance
  • Basic vital signs measurement and documentation
  • Infection prevention and safe handling practices
  • Basic charting and familiar with electronic medical records or willing to learn
  • Good communication, teamwork, and time-management skills
