Roles & Responsibilities

  • Provide compassionate direct patient care and assist with activities of daily living
  • Monitor and record vital signs, reporting any changes to nursing staff promptly
  • Support safe transfers and mobility assistance while following proper body mechanics
  • Maintain a clean, safe environment and adhere to infection control protocols
  • Document patient care accurately and communicate clearly with the care team
  • Build trusting relationships with patients and families through respectful, attentive care

Qualifications

  • Current California CNA certification (required)
  • CPR/BLS certification (preferred or required per facility policy)
  • Ability to pass background check, TB test, and meet facility immunization requirements
  • Comfort working overnight shifts and providing hands-on patient care
  • Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude

Education

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Completion of an approved CNA training program and active CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

  • Skilled in assistance with ADLs (bathing, dressing, toileting, feeding)
  • Proficient in taking and documenting vital signs and observations
  • Knowledge of infection control and patient safety practices
  • Good time management and ability to prioritize patient needs
  • Compassionate bedside manner and effective teamwork
