Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide direct, compassionate patient care in the emergency department
- Triage patients quickly and accurately to prioritize care needs
- Administer medications and treatments following established protocols
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary team members for patient plans
- Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the EHR
- Educate patients and families about condition management and next steps
Qualifications
- Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in California
- Previous experience in Emergency Room (ER) nursing preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) strongly preferred
- Strong assessment skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Triage and rapid assessment in emergency care settings
- IV placement, medication administration, and emergency interventions
- Familiarity with common ER procedures and monitoring equipment
- Accurate EHR documentation and charting
- Ability to prioritize multiple critically ill patients calmly and efficiently
