Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, patient-centered critical care in the ICU setting
- Monitor and assess critically ill patients, responding quickly to changes
- Administer medications and advanced therapies safely and accurately
- Operate and troubleshoot bedside equipment, including ventilators and monitors
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and adjust care plans
- Document patient care thoroughly and communicate handoffs clearly
- Educate patients and families with compassion during stressful times
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse license (eligible to practice in California)
- ICU experience and comfort caring for critically ill adults
- BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred
- Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and prioritization skills
- Comfort working nights and in a fast-paced critical care environment
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Current BLS; ACLS preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong knowledge of critical care principles and interventions
- Familiarity with ventilator management and hemodynamic monitoring
- Proficiency in medication administration and titration
- Effective communication and teamwork in high-stakes situations
- Accurate electronic medical record documentation and charting
