Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, compassionate critical care to adult ICU patients
- Assess and monitor patient status, interpret vitals and labs, and escalate changes promptly
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and advanced interventions safely and accurately
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Provide clear, supportive education and communication to patients and families
- Document care thoroughly and maintain compliance with facility and regulatory standards
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in California or compact RN license
- ICU clinical experience (acute/critical care background preferred)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred
- Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently on per-diem assignments and integrate quickly into existing teams
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Critical care assessment and intervention for unstable patients
- Familiarity with ventilators, hemodynamic monitoring, and infusion pumps
- Medication administration and titration in critical care settings
- Electronic medical record (EMR) documentation and clinical charting
- Teamwork, patient advocacy, and family-centered communication
