Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered telemetry nursing during the night shift
• Monitor cardiac telemetry and interpret alarms, trends, and clinical changes
• Perform focused assessments and intervene appropriately to keep patients safe
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and document thoroughly
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care plans
• Educate patients and families about condition, treatments, and discharge plans
• Escalate changes in patient status to providers in a timely manner

Qualifications

• Active RN license in California (required)
• Current BLS certification; ACLS preferred or willing to obtain
• Telemetry experience with cardiac monitoring and arrhythmia recognition
• Ability to work a night shift schedule and function well in fast-paced settings
• Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and patient advocacy
• Comfortable using electronic health records and documenting care accurately

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• BSN preferred but not required for experienced telemetry RNs

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in cardiac telemetry monitoring and alarm management
• Skilled at clinical assessment, IV medication administration, and titration
• Familiarity with electronic charting and bedside documentation workflows
• Ability to prioritize, multitask, and manage acuity on night shifts
• Clear communication with patients, families, and the clinical team
