Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality telemetry nursing care to adult patients with cardiac monitoring needs
• Continuously assess and interpret cardiac rhythms and vital signs, acting promptly on abnormalities
• Administer medications and treatments safely and document accurately in the EHR
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice clinicians, and interdisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes
• Educate patients and families about condition, treatment plans, and discharge instructions with compassion
• Maintain a safe, clean environment and adhere to infection control and hospital policies
• Participate in handoffs and unit communication to ensure continuity of care

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license in California (or compact privilege where applicable)
• Telemetry nursing experience preferred; comfortable with cardiac monitors and rhythm interpretation
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred
• Current skills in medication administration, IV therapy, and patient assessment
• Strong communication skills and ability to function well on a fast-paced night team

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in telemetry monitoring and rhythm recognition
• Solid clinical assessment and critical thinking abilities
• Accurate electronic health record (EHR) documentation
• Effective verbal and written communication with patients and clinical teams
• Time management and prioritization during busy night shifts
• Teamwork, adaptability, and a patient-centered approach
