Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess and triage patients quickly and accurately to prioritize care
- Provide compassionate, evidence-based emergency nursing interventions
- Administer medications and treatments safely, documenting thoroughly
- Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care
- Deliver clear patient and family education during stressful moments
- Respond effectively to urgent and emergent situations, including codes
- Maintain accurate, timely charting in the electronic medical record
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse license in California or eligibility to obtain one
- Experience in Emergency Room (ER) nursing preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred
- Current immunizations and ability to meet facility health requirements
- Strong clinical assessment and prioritization skills with ER experience
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Proven ability to perform rapid patient assessments in high-acuity settings
- Competence with IV starts, medication administration, and emergency procedures
- Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) documentation
- Excellent communication and teamwork under pressure
- Strong critical thinking and clinical decision-making skills
