Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents — help with bathing, dressing, and mobility
• Assist nursing staff with daily care plans and follow-through on assigned tasks
• Observe and report changes in residents' conditions promptly to the care team
• Support mealtime assistance and ensure dignity during feeding and personal care
• Maintain accurate documentation of care and communicate effectively with team members
• Help create a warm, safe environment that promotes comfort and independence

Qualifications

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification — required
• Must be local to the Orono area (LOCAL ONLY) and able to travel to the facility as needed
• Comfortable working the listed daytime shift (6:30 AM - 2:45 PM)
• Strong communication and teamwork skills; reliability and a positive attitude
• Willingness to complete facility onboarding, background check, and any required training

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; CNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Fundamental resident care techniques and safe patient handling
• Basic vital signs monitoring and reporting changes to licensed staff
• Respectful, person-centered care with attention to dignity and privacy
• Clear documentation and charting practices
• Effective communication with residents, families, and interdisciplinary teams
• Infection control and standard precautions awareness
