Shift Type: 3 consecutive 12-hour night shifts (overnight schedule). Specific start/end times vary by facility and will be confirmed with the schedule (overnight hours; facility-determined).

Roles & Responsibilities
- Set up and monitor comprehensive sleep studies, ensuring patient comfort and accurate data collection
- Operate and troubleshoot sleep lab equipment independently during overnight studies
- Score and evaluate polysomnograms with attention to diagnostic detail
- Administer therapies per physician orders and document interventions clearly
- Provide patient education about sleep disorders, testing procedures, and treatment options
- Serve as primary contact for physicians, patients, and outreach accounts — communicate findings and recommendations professionally
- Maintain and assist with sleep lab equipment upkeep and quality assurance
- Deliver outreach presentations and inservices to community groups and referral sources
Qualifications
- Graduate of an AMA‑approved school for respiratory care or nursing
- Montana Licensure (Respiratory Therapist) or Montana Licensure (Registered Nurse)
- Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (BRPT) credential required
- American Heart Association BLS (current)
- Preferred: Minimum 24 months of sleep disorder testing experience; routine EEG experience a plus
- Self-directed professional who can work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
Education
- Graduate of an AMA‑approved school for respiratory care or nursing
Knowledge & Skills
- Hands-on experience with polysomnography and sleep disorders testing
- Proficiency in operating and troubleshooting sleep lab equipment
- Ability to score polysomnograms accurately
- Patient monitoring and safe administration of therapies per orders
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to prioritize in a busy environment
- Emotional intelligence and the ability to maintain a calm, professional demeanor under stress
- Familiarity with infection control, safety protocols, and registry/DNV education requirements
