Candidate Pay Rate: $54 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients' functional abilities and create individualized occupational therapy treatment plans
- Deliver hands-on therapeutic interventions to improve independence with activities of daily living
- Set and track meaningful, measurable goals and adjust treatment based on progress
- Collaborate with nursing, PT, SLP and interdisciplinary team to coordinate comprehensive care
- Provide patient and family education to support carryover and safe discharge planning
- Document thoroughly and timely in the electronic medical record to support quality outcomes
Qualifications
- Licensed Occupational Therapist (OTR/OT) or eligible for Michigan licensure
- Experience in skilled nursing facility or inpatient rehab settings preferred
- Strong assessment and treatment planning skills for adult and geriatric populations
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of an interdisciplinary team
Education
- Entry-level Master's or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy or equivalent degree from an accredited program
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in ADL retraining, adaptive equipment recommendations and home safety evaluations
- Knowledge of therapeutic modalities, cognitive and orthotic interventions for rehab
- Familiarity with SNF documentation, Medicare and rehab reimbursement basics
- Ability to prioritize caseloads, manage time, and produce clear clinical documentation
- Comfortable coaching caregivers and nursing staff to support patient progress
