Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered nursing care on a medical-surgical unit
• Perform thorough patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Monitor patient status, recognize changes, and escalate concerns promptly
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate discharge planning and transitions
• Document care and patient responses clearly and timely in the medical record
• Support patients and families with education, compassion, and clear communication

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Georgia or compact RN license where applicable
• Clinical experience in Medical-Surgical nursing (experience preferred)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS or specialty certifications a plus
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and patient advocacy skills
• Ability to handle a fast-paced environment and prioritize patient needs

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of medical-surgical nursing principles and common adult diagnoses
• Proficiency with patient assessment, medication administration, and wound care
• Comfortable using electronic medical records for charting and communication
• Strong communication and teamwork skills for working with patients, families, and staff
• Time management and the ability to multitask safely during 12.5-hour shifts
