Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care on the Med/Surg unit
Assess, monitor and accurately document patient conditions and responses
Administer medications and treatments according to provider orders and protocols
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to coordinate excellent patient outcomes
Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments and discharge planning
Maintain a safe environment and follow hospital policies and quality standards
Prioritize tasks and manage time effectively during 12.5-hour shifts

Qualifications

Registered Nurse (RN) — listed as a core requirement
Experience or competency in Med/Surg nursing (core skill)
Ability to work 12.5-hour shifts as noted in the posting
Active RN licensure as required by the facility (state licensure rules apply)

Knowledge & Skills

Solid Med/Surg nursing knowledge and clinical judgment
Patient assessment and monitoring skills
Medication administration and documentation accuracy
Strong communication and teamwork with multidisciplinary staff
Time management and prioritization during long shift blocks
