Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to residents according to plan of care
• Perform thorough patient assessments and communicate changes to the care team
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Document patient status, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to create and adjust individualized care plans
• Support residents and families with clear communication and patient education
• Maintain compliance with facility policies and state nursing regulations

Qualifications

• Current and active LPN or RN license (appropriate state licensure required — Alabama preferred)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; ACLS or PALS if required by unit (preferred)
• Clinical experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or similar settings is a plus
• Strong assessment, clinical judgment, and communication skills
• Ability to pass facility onboarding, background checks, and health screening

Education

• Graduate of an accredited practical nursing or registered nursing program
• Relevant state licensure (LPN or RN) required

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in medication administration and documentation
• Proficient in nursing assessments and care planning
• Comfortable with electronic health record charting
• Good time management and ability to prioritize in a busy clinical environment
• Team-oriented with strong interpersonal skills and a patient-first mindset
