Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to adult med/surg patients
Perform thorough patient assessments and communicate changes promptly
Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and update care plans
Document patient care clearly and timely in the electronic health record
Support patient and family education to promote recovery and discharge readiness
Prioritize patient safety, infection control, and quality standards on every shift

Qualifications

Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Georgia or compact license as applicable
Clinical experience in medical-surgical nursing; comfort with 12.5-hour shifts
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced certifications a plus
Ability to work independently as a per-diem clinician and integrate quickly with unit teams
Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Solid knowledge of med/surg standards of care and procedures
Medication administration and IV therapy competency
Proficiency with electronic health records and accurate documentation
Patient assessment, wound care basics, and post-op management
Time management, prioritization, and teamwork in a fast-paced setting
