Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to medical-surgical patients
• Perform thorough assessments, monitor patient status, and document findings clearly
• Administer medications and treatments safely according to orders and protocols
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care
• Respond promptly to patient changes and emergencies with clinical competence
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and discharge planning
• Maintain accurate, timely electronic medical record documentation
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement and patient safety initiatives

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Georgia (required)
• Experience in medical-surgical nursing (Med/Surg) — demonstrated clinical competence
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS or other specialty certifications encouraged
• Comfortable working 12.5-hour shifts and functioning in a fast-paced hospital environment
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN); BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid medical-surgical clinical knowledge and patient assessment skills
• Medication administration and IV therapy competency
• Ability to prioritize care and manage multiple patients safely
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and clinical documentation
• Effective communication with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
• Basic quality improvement and patient safety awareness
