Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures with care, accuracy, and attention to patient comfort
• Operate and maintain sonography equipment, ensuring quality images and proper documentation
• Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and the care team to support timely diagnoses
• Verify patient identity and clinical information, and maintain accurate records in line with policies
• Follow infection control, safety, and radiation protection protocols to protect patients and staff
• Participate in competency testing and skills checklists to maintain clinical excellence
• Communicate findings and next steps clearly and compassionately to patients and the care team

Qualifications

• Current BLS certification (required)
• License/certificate verification as required by state and facility (must be valid)
• Completion of Trinity Specialty Specific Competency Testing and Trinity Skills Checklist as part of onboarding
• Required pre-employment screenings: fit test, Trinity 10-panel drug screen, and required immunizations or documentation (Tdap, COVID-19 vaccine, MMR, Hepatitis B, Influenza, 2-step PPD or IGRA, Varicella, physical/health statement)
• Strong knowledge of diagnostic sonography and ultrasound procedures
• Professional communication skills and the ability to work well within a multidisciplinary team

Knowledge & Skills

• Diagnostic ultrasound techniques and image acquisition
• Patient positioning and safety during imaging procedures
• Operation and basic troubleshooting of sonography equipment
• Familiarity with competency checklists and clinical competency testing
• Adherence to infection control, HIPAA, and clinical documentation standards
• Strong interpersonal skills for patient-centered care
