Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care across PCU, Medical-Surgical and Telemetry specialties with confidence
• Perform continuous cardiac monitoring and interpret dysrhythmias to guide timely interventions
• Manage and administer IV drips commonly used on the unit (Insulin, Heparin, Diltiazem) safely and accurately
• Complete head-to-toe assessments, hourly rounding, and required pain/Braden/falls assessments each shift
• Prioritize and triage patient needs independently in a small, rural facility environment
• Collaborate with nursing assistants and interdisciplinary team to ensure smooth admissions and safe patient transitions
• Maintain clear, timely documentation and communicate critical changes to providers

Qualifications

• Active New Hampshire RN license or Compact RN license (must be uploaded with profile)
• Current American Heart Association BLS (required) and ACLS (required) certifications
• Minimum 3+ years combined experience in PCU, Medical/Surgical and Telemetry (required)
• Demonstrated telemetry experience and current basic dysrhythmia testing/interpretation in profile (required)
• Previous travel experience highly preferred
• Experience in rural or small-facility settings preferred; ability to work independently and hit the ground running
• Must have reliable vehicle and permanent address listed in profile
• One supervisory signed reference from within the past two years (required)
• All requested skills checklists (Med-Surg, Telemetry, PCU) current to 1 year and uploaded

Knowledge & Skills

• Progressive Care Unit (PCU) workflows and acuity management
• Medical-Surgical nursing principles and post-acute care needs
• Telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation
• IV drip management (Insulin, Heparin, Diltiazem) and medication safety
• Assessment skills: head-to-toe, pain, Braden, and falls risk assessments
• Ability to prioritize, triage and work autonomously in a small team
• Effective communication with patients, families and interdisciplinary staff
