Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 0630-1900 or 1830-0700, including weekends (6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule period)

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide high-quality nursing care to adult medical/surgical, cardiac, and stroke patients in a dynamic PCU unit
Titrate drips including heparin, octreotide, and insulin as needed
Interpret telemetry and respond to changes in patient condition
Collaborate with charge nurses and patient care techs to ensure safe patient ratios (1:4)
Manage frequent admissions, transfers, and discharges in a fast-paced environment
Float to Med/Surg, ICU, or ED as needed for appropriate patient care

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
Minimum 1 year of PCU or stepdown experience
Comfortable titrating drips and interpreting telemetry
Driver's license required at submittal (proof of residency outside 50-mile radius)

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in telemetry interpretation and drip titration
Strong teamwork and positive attitude in a high-flow unit
Ability to pass open-book skills exam with 90% during orientation
