Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour day or night shifts (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM), self-scheduling, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $66 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to oncology, PCU, and med-surg patients in a mixed unit
Monitor and manage common drips including chemotherapy, heparin, and cardizem
Collaborate with multidisciplinary team including PT/OT, social work, and case managers
Float to med/surg and PCU units as needed, maintaining same level of care
Perform hourly rounding and ensure patient safety and satisfaction
Utilize EPIC EMR and Alaris IV pumps efficiently

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state - must be willing to obtain
At least 1 year of recent acute care experience in PCU, oncology, or med-surg
Chemo certification is required
BLS and ACLS certifications required
ONS/ONCC certification preferred
First-time travelers welcome!
Driver's license required at submission to verify distance from facility

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in oncology nursing, PCU, and trauma nursing
Experience with titration of insulin, cardizem, and heparin drips
Comfortable with ventilator and hemodynamic monitoring (CVP, A-line, Swan, EV-1000) - training available
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, diverse patient population
