Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional nursing care to neuro-telemetry patients in a fast-paced Level 1 Trauma center
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, titrating drips such as Amiodarone, Cardizem, and Insulin
• Perform Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes while maintaining strict sterile field
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to manage patients with CVA, TBI, spinal surgery, and other neurological conditions
• Administer medications, including heparin protocols, and provide bedside report for seamless handoffs
• Float to other telemetry units as needed, ensuring continuity of care

Qualifications

• Must have at least 2 years of recent RN experience, including Level 1 Trauma experience
• Active RN license in Arizona or compact state (NLC)
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• Neuro experience highly preferred
• Must pass a dysrhythmia exam prior to acceptance (2 attempts allowed)
• Successful completion of SIMs lab for Foley and central line dressing changes (pass/fail)

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in sterile technique and maintaining a sterile field
• Ability to titrate cardiac drips and interpret EKGs
• Experience with Cerner EMR and WOWs
• Strong critical thinking and ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
