Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in a fast-paced PCU setting
• Monitor and manage patients with cardiac, neurologic, and metabolic conditions, including continuous EEG monitoring
• Titrate and administer IV drips such as Cardizem, beta-blockers, and seizure medications
• Collaborate with charge nurse and interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Float to medical floors, ICU, or rehab as needed to support the facility
• Maintain a positive attitude, strong communication, and critical thinking skills to thrive in a dynamic environment

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state license accepted
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required (must be current)
• Minimum of 1 year recent PCU/telemetry experience preferred
• Ability to pass an open-book skills exam during orientation (90% pass rate required)
• Driver's license required at submittal to verify residency (must live outside 50 miles from facility)

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency in cardiac monitoring, drip titration, and stroke management
• Strong ability to prioritize and multitask in a high-acuity environment
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills
• Familiarity with EHR systems and patient care documentation
