Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, every 3rd weekend and 3 of 6 major holidays

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality care to critically ill neonates in a Level 4 NICU
Perform advanced nursing skills including Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes while maintaining strict sterile field
Collaborate with neonatologists, midlevels, and the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans
Monitor and manage ventilated patients, ECMO, and cooling therapy
Educate and support families during their NICU journey, offering emotional and clinical guidance
Float to mother-baby and labor care as needed to care for neonatal patients

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of Level 4 NICU experience required
Previous travel experience preferred
Current BLS, NRP, and Cardiac STABLE certifications required
Must pass SIMs Lab for Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes
Strong understanding of sterile field techniques
Ability to work 12-hour shifts with rotating weekends and holidays

Knowledge & Skills

Proficiency in Cerner EMR
Experience with Phillips telemetry monitoring
Familiarity with ventilator management (RT-managed)
Knowledge of ECMO and cooling therapy protocols
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Ability to float to mother-baby and labor care units
