Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts (7:00 AM - 7:30 PM days or 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM nights), every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $59 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, patient-centered care to a diverse Med/Surg patient population
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for conditions such as CHF, pneumonia, COPD, post-surgical recovery, and more
Administer medications, titrate drips (infrequently), and monitor telemetry with support from CCU team
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Educate patients and families on disease management and discharge planning
Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to highest safety standards

Qualifications

Active Oregon RN license or ability to obtain a 90-day emergency license
BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
Minimum experience in general medical-surgical nursing
Ability to care for both adult and pediatric patients as needed
Strong assessment and critical thinking skills

Knowledge & Skills

General medical-surgical nursing knowledge
Experience with common diagnoses: CHF, diabetic complications, pneumonia, COPD, post-operative care
Comfortable with telemetry monitoring and reading strips
Ability to titrate medications like Heparin and Bumex (infrequently)
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
