Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour night shifts, 6:00 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend and holidays required

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $53 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Monitor and assess patients on telemetry, reading strips and responding to changes
Provide compassionate care to patients with CHF, diabetes, pneumonia, CKD, and other medical-surgical conditions
Collaborate with charge nurses, house supervisors, and nurse educators to ensure high-quality care
Float to all med/surg units as needed, demonstrating flexibility and teamwork
Administer medications and document patient progress
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team

Qualifications

Active RN license in Texas
Excellent communication and time management skills
Proficiency in reading telemetry strips
Experience in med/surg telemetry preferred
Willingness to work every other weekend and holidays

Knowledge & Skills

Telemetry strip reading
Patient assessment and monitoring
Medication administration
Team collaboration
Adaptability to float between units
