Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, rotating day/night, every 3rd weekend, 3 of 6 major holidays required

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide specialized care for critically ill neonates in a Level 4 NICU
Monitor and assess patient conditions, adjusting care plans as needed
Collaborate with neonatologists, midlevels, and multidisciplinary team
Administer medications and perform procedures including Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes
Support and educate families during their baby's hospital stay
Maintain sterile field during procedures and skills validation

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of NICU experience, preferably Level 4
Current BLS and NRP certifications required
Cardiac STABLE certification preferred
Previous travel experience is a plus
Must pass SIMs Lab for Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes
Ability to float to mother-baby and labor care (babies only)

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in neonatal critical care and sterile technique
Proficient with Cerner EMR
Skilled in Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes
Knowledge of Phillips telemetry and vent management (RT managed)
Understanding of common NICU diagnoses: prematurity, cardiac defects, genetic disorders, surgical, ECMO, cooling
