Location: Bismarck, ND

Start Date: 07-13-2026

End Date: 10-12-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts (7:00 AM - 7:30 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM), every other weekend and holidays as needed

Hours per Week: 48

Candidate Pay Rate: $58 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to a diverse patient population including post-surgical (total joint replacement, spinal surgery, urology, abdominal) and medical overflow
Monitor and manage drips such as occasional heparin, PCA pumps, and TPN
Perform early ambulation and post-operative care to promote recovery
Collaborate with the care team including charge nurse and patient care techs to maintain optimal patient ratios
Conduct thorough bedside shift reports to ensure seamless care transitions

Qualifications

Active RN license in North Dakota or compact state
BLS certification (American Heart Association)
Experience in surgical or post-operative care is a plus
First-time travelers are encouraged to apply

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of post-operative care and early mobilization techniques
Familiarity with PCA pumps, TPN, and heparin drip management
Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced med-surg environment
