Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 3:00 PM - 3:00 AM; 36 hours/week; weekend requirements: 6-9 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule; holiday rotation may apply

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide exceptional nursing care to a diverse patient population across multiple units including Cardiac, Neuro, Oncology, Rehab, Renal, Bariatrics, Ortho, Trauma, and ED Observation
Float within Zone 1 to various facilities including Penrose Hospital, St. Francis Medical Center, St. Francis InterQuest, St. Mary Corwin, and St. Thomas More
Titrate heparin drips and manage patients with complex medical-surgical needs
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe, patient-centered care
Adapt quickly to different unit environments and patient acuities

Qualifications

At least 2 years of recent Medical-Surgical/Telemetry experience
Active RN license in Colorado or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Experience with heparin titration and neuro patients preferred
Ability to float across multiple facilities within a 60-mile radius

Knowledge & Skills

Strong assessment and critical thinking skills for MS-Tele population
Proficiency in managing cardiac, neuro, and post-surgical patients
Excellent communication and adaptability for floating
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with 1:5-6 nurse-to-patient ratio
