Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM or 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Monitor and manage cardiac, nephrology, and stroke patients on a fast-paced PCU unit
Titrate critical drips such as Cardizem, beta blockers, and seizure medications
Perform continuous EEG monitoring and assess patient responses
Collaborate with charge nurses and patient care techs to ensure optimal outcomes
Float to medical floors, ICU, or rehab as needed to support the team
Maintain accurate documentation and communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary team

Qualifications

Current RN license in Nebraska or compact state
At least 1 year of PCU or telemetry experience preferred
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Ability to pass an open-book skills exam with 90% during orientation
Driver's license required to verify 50-mile radius rule

Knowledge & Skills

Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Positive attitude and willingness to help others
Proficiency in titrating intravenous drips and monitoring telemetry
Comfortable with fast-paced environments and adaptable to floating
