Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate labor and delivery support to birthing patients, assisting throughout active labor and delivery
• Manage postpartum care for birthing persons, monitoring recovery and addressing needs after delivery
• Perform newborn assessments and basic newborn care immediately after birth and during the postpartum stay
• Conduct triage evaluations for antepartum and laboring patients to determine appropriate care or escalation
• Administer and monitor NSTs (Non-Stress Tests) and report findings to the care team
• Serve as second nurse/overflow when needed to ensure patient safety and timely interventions
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care for patients experiencing pregnancy or birthing complications
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient education clearly and timely

Qualifications

• Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license required
• Clinical experience in labor and delivery, postpartum, and newborn care (experience level not specified in posting)
• Comfort and competence with triage, NST monitoring, and providing second nurse/overflow support
• Ability to work night shifts and integrate into an active, busy unit
• Strong teamwork, communication, and critical thinking skills to collaborate with multiple disciplines
