Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality emergency nursing care to patients of all ages
• Perform rapid triage, assessment, and prioritize care in a fast-paced ER environment
• Collaborate with physicians, techs, and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
• Administer medications, IV therapy, and wound care per facility protocols
• Monitor patient status, recognize changes quickly, and escalate concerns appropriately
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately in the EHR
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and follow-up care
• Support department efficiency by assisting with patient flow and throughput

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the applicable state (or compact RN where accepted)
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience (as indicated in the job details)
• Experience in Emergency Room (ER) nursing strongly preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) highly recommended
• Strong assessment skills, ability to prioritize, and comfort working in a high-acuity setting
• Current immunizations and ability to pass facility onboarding requirements

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN)
• BSN preferred where applicable

Knowledge & Skills

• Emergency assessment and triage
• IV placement and medication administration
• Familiarity with EHR documentation and common ER workflows
• Acute patient monitoring and rapid response
• Strong teamwork, communication, and critical-thinking skills
• Ability to remain calm and decisive under pressure
