Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide individualized, comprehensive respiratory care based on assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Perform accurate patient assessments and develop appropriate respiratory care plans
• Deliver lifesaving interventions and respiratory therapies including neonatal and OB-related respiratory support when needed
• Collaborate with the cardiopulmonary director, lead RRTs, and multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
• Function independently after orientation with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of safety and documentation
• Assist with equipment handling and safe patient transfers, following department lifting and safety protocols

Qualifications

• Current Washington State Respiratory Care Practitioner license (required)
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications (required)
• Strong OB experience (required)
• Prefer one year of current acute care experience, but new graduates may be considered
• Ability to meet department-specific physical requirements (lifting, pushing, pulling) and perform auditory/visual tasks
• Team player attitude; any requested RTO must be pre-approved and added to the end of the contract

• Respiratory care best practices and cardiopulmonary procedures
• Patient assessment, care planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Acute care familiarity and troubleshooting respiratory equipment
• Strong teamwork, communication, and documentation skills
• OB-related respiratory knowledge and neonatal resuscitation principles
