Shift Type: Four 10-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM (day shift). Specific weekdays not stated. On-call rotation: no less than every 5th week with evening and weekend call; call-back windows: 5:00 PM - 7:00 AM weeknights and 24-hour weekend call (cardiologist approval required).

Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality diagnostic echocardiography exams and cardiac ultrasound studies to support accurate cardiology care
• Optimize image acquisition and measurements to ensure reliable, reproducible results
• Communicate findings effectively with cardiologists and the care team to influence timely clinical decisions
• Provide compassionate patient care, including clear explanations and safe patient positioning
• Document procedures and maintain accurate records in the patient chart and imaging systems
• Participate in on-call rotation, responding to callbacks per department protocol
• Collaborate with fellow ultrasonographers and provide peer support to maintain a positive team culture

Qualifications

• RDCS or RCS credential required
• Active BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• Comfortable participating in an on-call rotation that includes evenings and weekends
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
• Ability to maintain high standards of image quality and clinical documentation

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in echocardiography and cardiac ultrasound techniques
• Solid understanding of cardiac anatomy and physiology
• Skill with image optimization, Doppler assessment, and standardized measurement protocols
• Familiarity with PACS/DICOM workflows and electronic health record documentation
• Excellent patient care, positioning, and bedside manners
• Reliable time management and ability to work effectively on a collaborative team
