Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide direct personal care to residents following each client’s individualized Plan of Care
• Measure and record vital signs accurately and report changes promptly
• Perform safe, respectful patient transfers and personal care tasks
• Maintain clear, timely documentation and records of care delivered
• Use and maintain medical equipment appropriately (BP cuff, thermometer, stethoscope)
• Follow infection control procedures and PPE protocols to protect residents and staff
• Communicate effectively with clients, families, and the care team to support resident-centered care

Qualifications

• Alaska Certified Nursing Assistant License (required)
• Current CPR and First Aid certification (must maintain while on assignment)
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Experience preferred but not required — we will train on the job
• Ability to read, write, comprehend instructions and keep basic records
• Basic math skills: ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide and interpret basic calculations

• High School Diploma or equivalent

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient personal care and direct personal care techniques
• Following an individualized Plan of Care developed by an RN Case Manager
• Vital signs measurement and documentation/record keeping
• Use of basic medical equipment: BP cuff, thermometer, stethoscope
• PPE use and infection control best practices
• Clear, compassionate patient communication and teamwork
