Roles & Responsibilities

Manage and monitor Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) claims to ensure accurate transmission and processing
Investigate and resolve claim rejections and discrepancies with attention to detail
Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to maintain smooth claim flows
Document issues, track trends, and recommend process improvements to reduce future errors
Serve as a subject-matter resource for EDI standards and claims workflow questions

Qualifications

Experience with Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) and healthcare claims processing
Familiarity with X12 transaction sets and HIPAA-related requirements is highly valued
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on accuracy
Excellent communication skills for partnering with vendors and internal teams
Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent hands-on experience

Education

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Health Information Management, or related field preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Understanding of EDI standards (X12) and commonly used claims transaction sets
Knowledge of claims adjudication processes and payer interactions
Experience with clearinghouse and billing system workflows
Ability to analyze transaction errors and perform root cause analysis
Awareness of healthcare regulations and basic coding concepts
