Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality critical care to patients in a trauma/burn/surgical ICU setting, maintaining a 2:1 ICU patient ratio
• Perform advanced bedside procedures such as wound care, management of EVDs, and massive transfusion protocol (MTP) support
• Respond effectively to codes and participate in emergency interventions with confidence
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create and execute individualized patient care plans
• Document patient assessments and interventions accurately in Meditech to ensure continuity of care
• Use critical thinking and strong communication skills to prioritize care in a fast-paced environment
• Mentor and support colleagues when needed, contributing to a team-based culture

Qualifications

• Valid RN license required (ability to hold/obtain TX licensure or compact privilege preferred)
• Minimum 1 year of recent ICU experience; Trauma, Burn, or Surgical ICU experience is a must
• Strong communication and critical thinking skills required
• BSN preferred
• CCRN certification preferred
• Comfortable working with critical care equipment and managing high-acuity patients

Education

• BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Experience with Meditech EMR and accurate clinical documentation
• Proven ability in wound care, EVD management, and massive transfusion protocols
• Skilled in code response and acute patient stabilization
• Familiarity with trauma, burn, and surgical ICU workflows and critical care monitoring
• Strong teamwork, prioritization, and clinical judgment skills
