Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care for OB/GYN patients across the continuum of care
• Perform maternal and fetal assessments and monitor trends to ensure safe outcomes
• Assist with labor, delivery, postpartum, and routine OB procedures as directed
• Document patient care accurately and communicate changes to the interdisciplinary team
• Educate patients and families on postpartum care, newborn care basics, and discharge instructions
• Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and allied health staff to deliver coordinated care

Qualifications

• Active RN license or ability to obtain Texas licensure prior to start
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience (OB/GYN or relevant maternity unit experience preferred)
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification — or willing to obtain
• Comfort with electronic health record documentation and standard OB monitoring
• Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude

Knowledge & Skills

• Labor and delivery nursing fundamentals and maternal/newborn assessment
• Fetal monitoring (intermittent and electronic) and interpretation
• Postpartum care, newborn transition observation, and patient education
• Skilled at prioritization, triage, and responding to acute changes
• Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team
