Roles & Responsibilities

Provide direct nursing care to pediatric clinic patients within the scope of LPN licensure, ensuring safety and quality at every visit
Serve as the primary liaison between patients, providers, and clinic staff to coordinate care and streamline communication
Perform vital signs assessments and initial triage of patient calls to prioritize clinical needs
Manage medication refills and complete necessary prior authorizations to keep patients on track with their therapy
Support and guide CNAs and schedulers in daily tasks, offering clear direction to maintain smooth clinic operations
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members including providers, coordinators, clinical managers, and RNs to meet patient needs

Qualifications

Current State LPN license (must be active and in good standing)
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
Graduate of a Nursing Program
Comfortable taking vital signs, triaging calls, processing medication refills, and completing prior authorizations
Experience providing patient-focused care and working collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team
Willingness to meet continuing education requirements as dictated by state and federal licensure rules

Education

Graduate of a Nursing Program

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in taking and interpreting vital signs
Strong triage skills and patient communication
Knowledge of medication refill workflows and prior authorization processes
Ability to give direction to support staff and collaborate with clinical leaders
Patient-centered care and effective interdisciplinary collaboration
