Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide skilled, compassionate nursing care to inpatient rehabilitation patients during night shifts
• Perform thorough assessments, implement individualized care plans, and communicate changes to the interdisciplinary team
• Operate and monitor specialty equipment including IV pumps, feeding pumps, specialty beds, and patient lifts
• Document accurately and promptly in Meditech to ensure continuity of care
• Support patient mobility and safe transfers using appropriate lift and transfer techniques
• Collaborate with CNAs, unit secretaries, and rehab therapists to optimize patient outcomes

Qualifications

• Active RN license in good standing (appropriate state licensure required)
• Minimum 2+ years of nursing experience (rehab or med-surg experience highly valued)
• Current BLS certification required
• Comfortable with dialysis exposure and working alongside dialysis teams as needed
• Familiarity with IV/feeding pumps, specialty beds, and patient lifts
• Ability to work nights and primarily weekend-block schedules

Education

• Active RN license (state-specific)
• Associates or BSN preferred (if applicable), BLS required

Knowledge & Skills

• Rehabilitation nursing principles and patient-centered care
• Meditech/documentation proficiency
• Med-surg background and patient assessment skills
• Experience with IV pumps, feeding pumps, and transfer equipment
• Safe mobility and lift techniques
• Strong communication and teamwork skills in a multidisciplinary setting
