Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide, coordinate, and direct comprehensive respiratory care based on assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation
• Deliver cardiopulmonary treatments and interventions for patients across acuity levels
• Perform patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
• Operate and maintain respiratory equipment safely and accurately
• Collaborate with the Cardiopulmonary Director and Lead RRT to ensure high-quality care and seamless coverage
• Function independently after orientation while escalating complex issues as appropriate
• Document patient care thoroughly and communicate changes to the care team
• Support OB patients with specialized respiratory needs as required

Qualifications

• Current Washington State Respiratory Care Practitioner license (required)
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential highly desired
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS and NRP certifications (required)
• Prefer at least 1 year of recent acute care experience; new graduates may be considered
• Ability to meet physical requirements (lifting/transferring patients and equipment as described)
• Team player mindset and strong communication skills
• Willingness to have any requested RTO pre-approved and appended to the contract

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong cardiopulmonary knowledge and respiratory assessment skills
• Experience with patient care planning, implementation and evaluation
• OB experience — ability to manage respiratory needs for obstetric patients
• Proficiency with respiratory equipment, monitoring and emergency procedures
• Accurate documentation and the ability to work with interdisciplinary teams
• Sound judgment and ability to function with minimal supervision after orientation
