Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality critical care to adult ICU patients, ensuring safety and best-practice interventions
• Manage ventilated patients including ventilator settings, weaning protocols, and troubleshooting
• Respond quickly and effectively to cardiac or respiratory arrest situations using ACLS protocols
• Continuously monitor patient status using bedside monitors and interpret trends to guide care decisions
• Administer medications and IV therapies, manage Plum pump IVs and Pyxis medication systems accurately
• Document patient care and clinical changes thoroughly in Meditech EMR to maintain continuity and compliance
• Collaborate with intensivists, interdisciplinary team members, and support staff to coordinate patient-centered care
• Educate patients and families about condition, treatment plans, and post-discharge care with empathy and clarity

Qualifications

• Current, active RN license (must be eligible to practice in Colorado)
• Minimum of 1 year current acute care hospital ICU experience (required)
• BLS and ACLS certification required; NIH Stroke Scale certification required
• Experience with ventilator management and critical care procedures
• TNCC and Meditech experience preferred
• Flexible, team-oriented mindset and excellent communication skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Critical care nursing fundamentals and ICU workflows
• Ventilator management and care of mechanically ventilated patients
• Cardiac arrest and advanced life support (ACLS) interventions
• Patient monitoring with GE bedside monitors and interpretation of vital trends
• Familiarity with Meditech EMR, Pyxis, Plum Pumps and common ICU equipment
• Trauma and neurocritical care exposure, triage and prioritization skills
