Roles & Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor the Specialty Services outpatient clinic team to deliver excellent patient care and a positive clinic culture.
• Partner with the Director of Specialty Services and Scheduling Supervisor to optimize staffing, referrals, and access.
• Standardize and improve workflows to enhance throughput, reduce wait times, and strengthen the patient experience.
• Ensure clinical reliability by keeping policies, procedures, and competencies current and consistently followed.
• Monitor key flow, access, and quality metrics and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Champion patient safety and maintain Joint Commission readiness in ambulatory settings.
• Recruit, orient, and develop nursing and clinic staff; oversee annual competencies and licensing compliance.
• Manage clinic operations including supplies, equipment recommendations, and special projects that support comprehensive services.

Qualifications

• Active, full, unrestricted RN license in the U.S. (Alaska license or ability to obtain within 6 months)
• Minimum 5 years of varied RN experience, including at least 1 year in ambulatory care
• Minimum 2 years of supervisory/managerial experience in healthcare
• Active BLS certification
• Clinical Competency required within 3 months of hire; Manager Competency required within 3 months of hire
• Ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs and perform duties that require standing and mobility
• Associate's degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's degree preferred
• Experience with outpatient specialty clinics, EHR/computer proficiency; Tribal health/SEARHC experience desirable

Education

• Associate's degree in Nursing (required)
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing (preferred)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical assessment skills and technical competency with clinic equipment
• Knowledge of the nursing process, infection control, and safety principles
• Experience with patient flow management, throughput optimization, and quality improvement
• Excellent verbal and written communication, leadership, and conflict resolution skills
• Ability to multi-task, problem-solve, and work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency with electronic health records and clinic technology
