Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic imaging exams (X-ray and CT) following department and radiologist protocols
• Operate fluoroscopy and C-arm equipment in OR and procedural settings with precision and care
• Maintain radiation safety and ALARA practices for patients and staff
• Verify orders, confirm patient identity using two identifiers, and provide clear patient education
• Obtain and document medical history and informed consent; prepare studies for radiologist interpretation
• Document procedures, charges, and patient information accurately in the EHR/PACS/RIS
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and engage service engineers when needed
• Assist, train, and cross-train imaging staff; help with clerical duties and patient transport as required
• Order and maintain supply inventory to ensure smooth clinic operations
• Participate in departmental quality improvement, mandatory training, and regulatory compliance activities

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program (required)
• ARRT registration in Radiology (R) (required)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or obtain within 90 days of hire
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and pass background/drug screening
• Must be at least 18 years old (21 if position requires driving)
• Preferred: prior experience as a practicing Radiologic Technologist and cross-training in CT, MRI, DEXA, or Mammography
• Preferred: experience with PACS, RIS/HIS and electronic health records

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program
• ARRT (R) registration required

Knowledge & Skills

• X-ray and CT imaging techniques
• Fluoroscopy and C-arm operation (OR imaging experience)
• Radiation safety (ALARA) and patient shielding
• EHR, PACS, RIS/HIS documentation and image management
• Patient identification, education, informed consent, and compassionate patient care
• Equipment operation, preventive checks, and troubleshooting
• Strong verbal and written communication and teamwork
• BLS and basic life support skills
