Roles & Responsibilities

• Operate GE MRI equipment to perform high-quality diagnostic MRI scans
• Prepare and position patients with compassion and attention to comfort and safety
• Follow imaging protocols and optimize scan parameters for diagnostic clarity
• Document procedures and patient information accurately in Meditech
• Collaborate with radiologists, technologists and unit staff to support patient care
• Participate in rotating on-call, holiday and hurricane team coverage as required
• Maintain equipment cleanliness, safety checks and basic troubleshooting
• Adhere to MRI safety policies and infection control standards at all times

Qualifications

• ARRT (MR) certification required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of MRI technologist experience (as listed)
• Experience with GE MRI systems preferred
• Familiarity with Meditech or similar documentation systems a plus
• Ability to work rotating schedules, on-call shifts, holidays and emergency/hurricane response

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of MRI physics, safety and contraindications
• Proficient in patient positioning and anatomy for quality imaging
• Skilled in protocol selection and image optimization
• Experience with GE MRI platforms and sequence adjustments
• Competent using Meditech for documentation and workflow
• Excellent patient communication, triage and comfort techniques
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced hospital environment
