Roles & Responsibilities

Evaluate and treat patients under orders from the referring physician, using clinical judgment to prioritize care.
Develop individualized treatment plans that use therapeutic procedures and assistive devices to maximize functional potential.
Implement rehabilitation programs that address daily living activities and occupational performance goals.
Document patient evaluations, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries in compliance with facility and state regulations.
Collaborate with the Manager of Rehabilitation Services and the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care and optimize outcomes.
Educate patients and families on therapeutic techniques, safe use of assistive devices, and home program recommendations.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy (required)
Current CA Occupational Therapist License (required)
Ability to function in accordance with the California State Practice Act
Comfort working under direction of the Manager of Rehabilitation Services and following physician orders

Education

Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy

Knowledge & Skills

Occupational therapy evaluation and treatment planning
Therapeutic procedures and use of assistive devices
Rehabilitation services and patient-centered care
Patient assessment and documentation
Familiarity with State Practice Act and regulatory compliance
