Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare sterile and non-sterile compounded medications with precision and adherence to USP standards
• Handle hazardous drug compounding safely following all protocols and PPE requirements
• Manage IV workflow tasks using DoseEdge and other IV systems to ensure timely medication delivery
• Operate and maintain medication distribution systems such as Pyxis machines to support bedside access
• Document medication preparation and distribution accurately in Meditech and Pharmacy Stars (Compounding 360)
• Provide specialized support for neonatal and pediatric medication needs with attention to weight-based dosing
• Collaborate with clinical teams to improve medication safety and optimize pharmacy operations

Qualifications

• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) required
• Minimum 2 years of relevant pharmacy experience (explicitly listed in the job)
• Advanced sterile compounding experience required
• Demonstrated experience with neonatal and pediatric pharmacy practices
• Comfortable with IV workflow and medication distribution systems

Knowledge & Skills

• Experienced with Pyxis MedStation ES and Pyxis Anesthesia Station ES
• Familiarity with BD Pyxis CII Safe and controlled substance workflows
• Proficient with IV Workflow tools such as DoseEdge and PakEdge
• Able to use RxMS Scanner (SMART), iMobile tools, and Codonics systems
• Comfortable documenting and retrieving records in Meditech and Pharmacy Stars (Compounding 360)
• Strong attention to aseptic technique, medication safety, and regulatory compliance
