Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care for laboring and postpartum patients
• Continuously monitor fetal and maternal status using electronic fetal monitoring (EFM)
• Assist with and support vaginal and C-section deliveries, ensuring safety and clear communication
• Manage high-risk OB patients in coordination with obstetricians, anesthesiology, and the multidisciplinary team
• Document patient care accurately and timely in Meditech and Centricity systems
• Educate patients and families about labor, delivery, and postpartum care in a clear, supportive way
• Maintain readiness for emergency interventions and adhere to unit policies and best practices

Qualifications

• BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN or EFM required
• Minimum 1 year current acute care hospital RN experience (posting references experience; note field lists 2 years)
• Experience in Labor & Delivery with vaginal and C-section delivery exposure
• Comfortable using Meditech EMR, Centricity, and GE monitoring equipment
• Travel nursing experience and PACU experience are preferred

• Labor & Delivery clinical skills and protocols
• Electronic fetal monitoring (EFM) interpretation and use
• Meditech EMR proficiency
• Centricity familiarity
• Experience with GE monitors
• Care for high-risk obstetrics

• Strong teamwork, communication, and adaptability in a busy L&D unit
