Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform CT and X-Ray imaging procedures using GE and Toshiba scanners with accuracy and compassion
• Operate and troubleshoot GE CT scanners, portable X-ray units and C-Arms to deliver high-quality images
• Follow radiation safety and infection control protocols to protect patients and staff
• Document imaging procedures, findings and patient information accurately in Meditech and Meditech RIS
• Prepare and educate patients before, during and after procedures to ensure comfort and cooperation
• Coordinate effectively with radiologists, nursing and other clinical teams and respond to call assignments when needed
• Float to other imaging areas as needed to meet department demands

Qualifications

• ARRT (CT) certification - REQUIRED
• Texas radiology license (TX) - REQUIRED
• BLS (Basic Life Support) - REQUIRED
• 2+ years of relevant CT/imaging experience preferred
• Experience with GE CT scanners is required; Toshiba 32-slice experience is a plus
• Familiarity with Meditech / Meditech RIS and GE PACS or Carestream preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• CT imaging protocols and patient positioning
• Operation of GE 32-slice Rev EVO and Toshiba 32-slice scanners
• GE PACS, Carestream and Meditech RIS proficiency
• Portable X-Ray and C-Arm operation
• Image quality optimization and radiation safety best practices
• Strong patient communication and documentation skills
