Roles & Responsibilities

• Verify and accurately dispense medications in accordance with hospital policy
• Review medication orders for appropriateness, interactions and dosing
• Provide clinical pharmacy support and recommendations to the care team
• Ensure medication safety and compliance with regulatory and institutional standards
• Manage controlled substance documentation and inventory reconciliation
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and patient care discussions
• Document interventions and maintain clear electronic medical records
• Support timely medication delivery and collaborate with nursing and providers

Qualifications

• Active Florida pharmacist license or eligibility to obtain state licensure
• Minimum 1 year of pharmacy experience (hospital or clinical experience preferred)
• PharmD or BS in Pharmacy preferred
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced hospital
• Familiarity with hospital medication supply systems and dispensing workflows

Education

• PharmD or BS in Pharmacy (preferred)

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of pharmacology, dosing, drug interactions and medication safety
• Experience with inpatient pharmacy workflows and IV/sterile compounding concepts
• Comfortable using electronic medical records and pharmacy information systems
• Excellent attention to detail and strong clinical decision-making
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently during night shifts
