Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality cardiovascular operating room nursing care for surgical patients
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and OR team to support seamless perioperative flow
• Prepare and maintain a sterile field and ensure proper instrumentation and equipment setup for CVOR procedures
• Monitor patients intraoperatively and respond promptly to changes in condition
• Participate in Prime Core Competencies, skills checklists, and specialty exams as part of competency validation
• Be available to pick up call shifts as needed to support per-diem coverage

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license (able to verify via Nursys)
• Experience or specialty training in Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) or perioperative nursing
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Ability to complete Prime Core Competencies Exam, Prime Skills Checklist, and Prime Specialty Exam
• Must meet required health and screening items (fit test, drug screen, immunizations, TB testing, etc.)
• Comfort with per-diem work and flexible scheduling; able to accept shifts as assigned

Knowledge & Skills

• Cardiovascular operating room procedures and perioperative care
• Sterile technique and surgical instrumentation familiarity
• Basic and advanced life support (BLS, ACLS)
• Ability to complete competency exams and skills checklists
• On-call readiness and adaptability for variable schedules
